The Comet ran a story on their web site suggesting bad weather could possibly see the Stevenage firework display at Fairlands lakes be cancelled this year, unfortunately the Stevenage council web page (http://www.stevenage.gov.uk/) does not seem to be responding at present so it is unclear at this stage whether the fireworks display will be going ahead.
The current BBC weather forecast doesn't look bad, so it is probably worth going along to the lakes.
